meet the beach: totally island made

Our Frank messenger bag needed a revamp...

We asked you to help- and you told us that you'd like more room to play with- so we altered the strap system to bring you more storage room inside

We also decided that the fabrics needed to be really special as our frank is now completely made here on the Island- from start to finish...

Island fabrics, from Island beaches cut and sewn by Islanders... thats about as good as traceability gets. Sustainability at its very very best..

In order for this to happen, we needed to find someone who was as committed to the cause as we are.. somebody Island based, with an excellent knowledge of fabrics and how they perform...

We are very very lucky to be working with Miss Emily Pritchard on this..

Emily and her husband run an Isle based Upholstery company, which makes the sewing of our bags seem fairly simple!

We asked Emily what she loves most about living here:

W&J: tell us a story about your connection with the beach

EP:  Sun bathing on a scorching day down at Appley beach with some chums all aged around 15yrs and thinking it was a good idea to use Hawaiian tropic oil with no spf!  Ouch!

W&J: which is your favourite bag and why?
EP: Fav bag is my bright orange Flynn. fab bag to sling across you and keep all your bits and bobs safe in when down at the beach.
W&J: what puts a smile on your face?
EP: My girls when they are behaving and being funny!  A natural gift little people have!
W&J: what do you put on your toast?

Just loads of melting butter but sometimes have a craving for peanut butter!
