"The 360 foot [Sandown] pier opened for the 1879 season.

Following the creation of a new pier company, it was extended to 875 feet in 1895"

The piers are some of the most iconic landmarks of the coast lines of Great Britain, so lend themselves perfectly as subjects for Island based monochrome artist Holly V Maslen

"Working in black and white allows me to explore the relationship between occupied spaces and spaces created..."

We last worked with Holly a few years ago, on some beautifully hand painted tote bags, so when she approached us recently with her latest 'Pier Series' of drawings, we were delighted to collaborate on some limited edition clutch bags

Holly's use of black on white lends itself perfectly to the 3D form of our up cycled bags and accessories.

Not only has the fabric been repurposed from local Isle of Wight beaches, the drawings are by an Island based artist using familiar Island landscapes, then the bags are printed and stitched right here also, in our Bembridge workshop. This is an ENTIRELY Isle of Wight bag!

Each is made from our repurposed vinyl PVC, with a black cotton lining and full zip in a complimenting colour way..

DIMENSIONS: 30 cm approx X 19cm approx

Choose from Ventnor or Sandown Piers... these are VERY limited, so you've got to be quick!
