to clarify, add detail

...." imagine that. To clarify, add detail. Clutter and overload are not attributes of information, they are failures of design. If the information is in chaos, don't start throwing out information, instead fix the design'

- Edward Tufte

Decluttering is not necessarily something that comes naturally to me...

Especially not when surrounded by decades worth of multicoloured beach fabrics, in pretty much every stripe combination you can think of! Streamlining that, is quite a big task...

Over the last few weeks or so, the main aim has been to see exactly how far the materials can be manipulated... persuading them into shapes and forms that are new to them [and me!] and trying to find a consistency of colour and shape...

On some occasions, its worked... on others, it hasn't, but the process has been enjoyable. Frustrating at times, but enjoyable!

The new range of bags is nearly finished, in the first of the new stripped back colour combinations, with a heavy focus on detailing, features and textures.

Metres and metres of piping have been stitched, new patterns have been drawn up and swatch sheets have been switched...

Hopefully, we'll be able to show you them before the end of the week and more importantly, that you'll like them...
