A 'Tote-ally' Isle of Wight Collaboration

Wyatt and Jack X The Garlic Farm salvaged banner bags i love wight market

The I Love Wight markets are a celebration of all things island made...

We've been to a few and the atmosphere is always really lovely [as are the other stall holders!]

As with most temporary or 'pop up events' they need to attract footfall, so there needs to be advertising. Annoying as it may be, one of the most effective ways of attracting footfall, is with banners...

Luckily, as we HAVE been to a few, the organisers of this particular set of markets, know what we're up to... so they saved up all their previous banners and brought them into our Ryde shop for repurposing...

These particular banner bags are a bit special... the rope handles were dropped into us by local tree climbing folk Goodleaf IOW and by swish outdoor event specialist and caterers, Eds Tents, then they were put together by us in our Ryde and Bembridge workshops, which means that they are a completely island based collaboration!

This is great on SO many levels! The fabrics have been salvaged from island based businesses and events and NOW they are available for sale in The Garlic Farm Shop / retail space, on the site of the original event that these particular banners came from! FULL CIRCLE, ZERO MILES AND ZERO WASTE WoooOOP!

Pop on down to Newchurch to see them all... each one is completely unique!
