Collection: Samovar [2021]

Our newest collection repurposed [with permission of the artist] from a large scale art installation swerved from landfill… introducing Samovar, the oversized shiny inflatable tea service, last seen ‘lodged into the side of the Hayward Gallery’ [London]

The first commission from the Bagri Foundation, Samovar was created by Berlin based art collective Slavs and Tatars and is a comment on the history of tea “intertwined with cross-cultural exchange and colonialism”
